Searching and Sorting Bookmarks

There are many different ways to search and find your bookmarks. My Things Sidebar comes equipped with a Category filter, quick search box, and browsing abilities to fit all of your searching needs. You can even sort your bookmarks by last visited, most recently added, title, and more.

Advanced users: Click here to find out to apply Natural Language Search in the sidebar.

Searching

  • Click Open My Things from the BlueOrganizer Toolbar menu.
  • The drop-down up top filters your bookmarks by category. By default only the categories where you have bookmarked at least one object are shown. Select Show All to see all of the available categories.
  • The search box finds all your bookmarks that have attributes that match what you've typed in. Matching is case-insensitive. For example, typing rowling matches J.K. Rowling, who is the author of the Harry Potter books. You can also type in a tag and it will return all bookmarks with that tag.
  • The arrows up top allow you to browse forward and back through your bookmarks, page by page.
  • Want more? Click here to find out to apply Natural Language Search in the sidebar.

Sorting

  • Click Open My Things from the BlueOrganizer Toolbar menu.
  • The sort menu is located at the top right corner of the sidebar. Clicking on it will show you the list of attributes that can be sorted on. Last updated means the last time the bookmark was edited. Last visited means the last time the page was visited.
  • You can sort by increasing or decreasing value. To do so, simply reselect the attribute. Watch how the caret changes indicating the sort order.
