Publish a SmartLink Badge

A SmartLink badge is a collection of your most recent BlueMarks displayed as a fun, interactive flash widget that shows a details view of each BlueMark containing its image, title, and a SmartLink launcher. It's a great way to showcase the items you're collecting and the pages you're visiting while browsing on the web. Setup is done only once and the list will automatically update as you add, remove, and edit from it.

Steps

• Launch the BlueOrganizer Options page either through the BlueMenu dropdown or the My BlueMarks sidebar.
  
• Select the SmartLink Feeds tab and click on the SmartLink Feeds: Badge option.

• Choose the type of BlueMarks to publish by selecting a collection in the dropdown list. For example, if you select Movies, the list will contain all Movie BlueMarks.
• Optional: You can filter your items further by supplying a Smart Filter or tag. This is useful if you want to have two or more different Movie feeds. For example, if you tag some of your BlueMarks with [to see] and some with [seen] you can publish these BlueMarks into separate lists.

• Enter in a badge title or keep the default title.

• Select a gridsize. Note that your selected content must contain at least enough items to fill the badge.

• Select the color of your badge. There are four different shades to choose from.

• Choose the background color to match your blog using our color picker. For advanced users, you can enter in any hex color value.

• Click on the Generate Script button and copy the generated HTML.

• Paste the generated HTML code into the sidebar of your site or blog. Now your readers can view your latest BlueMarks as well as click on the SmartLink launcher for added shortcuts!

SmartLink Badge Installation

Now that you've made your SmartLink badge, you're ready to post it on your blog or personal profile page. Unfortunately, not all blogs and social networks support automated or even manual installation of widgets, but don't worry, we're doing our best to try and find a way.

This wil take you to Widgetbox, where we have filled in the information about your BlueBadge. Click on "Get Widget", and select the site where you'd like to add your Badge.
