What are SmartLinks?
We have been working on something really cool here @ AdaptiveBlue. This technology is called SmartLinks and it turns ordinary links into smart shorcuts to related information.
For example, a SmartLink to a book on Amazon can help the user to also look it up on Barnes and Noble, or to find more books by the same author or to find similar books on LibraryThing. Here is an example:

SmartLinks come in different shapes and forms, but they all have images associated with them that allow the user to launch the action pane. So here, try your very first SmartLink:
This link style is great if you want to embed a SmartLink within your blog post. If you'd like to embed SmartLinks more prominently, you can add a sidebar widget to display the BlueMarks that you've most recently collected. To get an idea of how this looks like we've added a Books and Movies feed on the right side of this page.
You can create SmartLinks for tons of different things! Books, Music, Movies, Travel Destinations, Blogs, regular web pages, Restaurants, Recipes and much much more.
Here's an example of Read/WriteWeb, a popular blog. Want more? Add SmartLinks when you blog about movies like Little Miss Sunshine or for regular sites like AdaptiveBlue.
