About AdaptiveBlue
AdaptiveBlue was born a little less than a year ago with the vision to develop smart browsing and personalization technologies. We saw an opportunity to harness the rapidly growing Mozilla platform to deliver unique value to consumers: a personalized web experience. We realized that since the browser is the focal point of all our interactions with a vast amount of information, a smart browsing companion that helps us deal with this information would be very valuable. We also realized that semantics and context played a critical role in personalization. The meaning arises from properties of things, locations and memories. Without these there is no meaning. So we asked ourselves how can we capture meaning of things on the web? And that led us to BlueOrganizer. Read more on AdaptiveBlue's BlueBlog...
The vision of AdaptiveBlue is to invent new browser technologies that deliver a personalized web experience, enhance productivity and save time. Inspired by this vision, we develop software based on the following principles:
Individuality Principle
Every one of us perceives the world in a different way, and even though we have a lot in common, each one of us is an individual. The things that many people like aren't necessarily the things that you'll like.
Time Principle
You care about information, but you care even more about your time. With the continuing growth of the Internet, it is easy to get lost in new technologies and this wealth of new information. You need to have a way to work through the clutter and noise to get to the relevant information quickly.
Less is More Principle
A lot of stuff on the web today is annoyingly in your face. As a user you do not want more ads or more recommendations. You actually want less. In fact, you want less of even what you already signed up for.
Privacy Principle
Your information, preferences and habits are private. They are your individual assets, and no one has the right to use them without your permission. It is your choice to decide whether to share your information or not, with whom to share it, and when.
Community Principle
You are excited about co-discovering books, movies, news and the rest of the web with your friends and family. This sharing process should be completely painless, no more than a click of a button.
Smart Browser Principle
Because the browser is your gateway to the Internet, it should present you with a personalized view of the web. The more time you spend online, the more your browser should be aware of what you like and what you are looking for. As any good piece of software, it should do as much as possible automatically and then get out of your way.
